The Rise Of Socialism: Pt.1 My Introduction Into Politics

My introduction into Politics and in order to speak on that I have to take you back to an earlier time which led me onto the path I am on today.

I grew up on the rough sides of the tracks living in Newark, NJ where many murders, gang violence , drugs, police corruption takes on a daily basis. Being that I was always a spiritual warrior being and Indigo I've seen that something had to come out of this slum filled area of poverty.. Politicians would come around every year (especially those who are liberals like Cory Booker i.e) and people would vote because it seemed like the thing to do but little to no change would ever occur. Newark, NJ would still be in a slum state , robberies by teens and young adults, shootings and problems with the water system would continue on for many more years to come.

Moving onward to Barack Obama and his dream of hope saying his famous motto of yes we can because surely things can change if we would have a Black President at the helm right? No. Nothing never did and it was still problems although we just did see a slight ounce of hope it was soon diminished because what followed the next year was complete chaos, racism, outright bigotry and lies on a grand scale. In other words .....Trump. Surely I've heard by now politicians are crooked and corrupt I was just hoping for a better choice in Democrats to beat him until one day there was a man by the name of Bernie Sanders came around.

There were many contenders that was open to battle each other on stage for the next president but unlike most of the contenders Bernie Sanders stood out mostly. He stood out like a sore thumb for the simple fact that he was saying things like Healthcare for all, People should get more than less, and other things that sounded good to my ears and mainly the thought of Democratic Socialism. Just then, I started to wonder what is Democratic Socialism and like most Americans I wasn't too deep into the political field because I was more into the thought of alternative spirituality and Paganism. Though at the same time seeing someone like Trump as the President reminded me of Hitler and I was wondering how can someone or something stop this unlike the Dems who are too soft to fire back at the crooked republican party aka Brownosers of Trump.

So around that time I started to educate myself more about Democratic Socialism thanks to Bernie Sanders. It resonated with me a lot not only from what most news and media thought but from what it truly meant. From there I stumbled up plain old Socialism and from there things became more solid with me. I looked at the good, bad and the ugly points about it but I noticed to grasp a true understanding of this alternate economic system and way of living I have to clear my mind of the previous way of life. One thing I've noticed when I did this , it aligned with how I have always thought in life. I just never knew that this way of thinking was given a name because I would always ask my parents or others why does it has to be this way here in America and why many others can't make a difference. Socialism is that change people needed.

Socialism was the key factor in which a true change could occur from the ground up from racial issues, financial, and much more as it did a long time ago. Speaking of a long time ago I couldn't help but notice how people kept relating Socialism to places like the Soviet Union, Vietnam and every time it's brought up here in America it seems to always have negative remarks behind it. During that time I also noticed that Socialism had an opponent or better yet and enemy and that enemy was known as Capitalism. After I've seen the big picture it became even more clear to me and who was who and who was on who's side that is. I see why nothing never was done under the Democratic party because their were nothing but true crooks in the idea of freedom, in truth they were right along the Republican party. In fact they were more insidious because how they pander and play to a whole race of mostly oppressed people white and mostly ethnic minorities. Trying to give us an illusion of choice when we have nothing but false hope and nothing ever changes in the slums of America from places in California, Detroit, MI, Newark, New Jersey and other near by towns like Irvington, East Orange, and places in New York. I mostly speak on those places because they are mostly notable for being Liberal owned cities but has anything truly changed? No in fact they have gotten worse. They have became worse because of the Democrats and redlining. A fact that makes the slums what it is which is the slums. I will explain more of that in the next blog though after seeing never truly changing from the status quo the thought of the American Dream began to seem more of a joke where only the few selected get picked not because of their hard work but due to other factors that may exploit others.

By then I understood that Democratic Socialism really appealed but however the true and raw form of Marxist or Classical Socialism appealed to me a lot more.
